Privacy Policy for Kinreel

Kinreel is an interactive short-video app published by ChainJoy (“we”). This policy explains what the iOS and Android apps with the package name com.chainjoy.kinreel collect, and why. It does not cover any other ChainJoy app.

What we collect

• Account. An email address and a one-time sign-in code, or the identifier Apple or Google returns when you sign in with those accounts.
• Photos and the interaction you write. You upload 1 to 3 photos, each under 8 MB, and can write one interaction. Those are sent to BytePlus Seedance to make one clip in the frame you picked: 9:16, 3:4, or 16:9.
• The finished clip. The video is stored on Alibaba Cloud OSS and served from a CDN so you can download it. We keep the photos only to make that clip and to reuse them when you ask for the same people again.
• Purchases. Apple or Google process the payment. We receive the product id and a transaction token so a credit can be granted once. Kinreel does not take card numbers.
• Push token. If you allow notifications, Apple or Google gives the app a token. We store it with the language of the app so we can tell you when a clip is ready or has failed.
• Technical data. IP address and basic request data the server needs to answer the app.

How we use it

We use this information to sign you in, make the clip you asked for, play it back, and deliver a purchase. A credit comes back only when the video service explicitly fails, including when it refuses a real face. A timeout does not return the credit. Kinreel does not replace you with a different person. We do not sell personal information.

Photos and the text you write are sent to BytePlus so that one clip can be made. They are not used for any other purpose.

Analytics and attribution

The app can send product events to Firebase Analytics, the Meta (Facebook) SDK, and JustTrack. Those services may receive an advertising identifier, IP address, device model, language, and how you use the app, under their own policies:

On iOS, the advertising identifier is available only if you allow tracking. The app does not show ads.

Where data is stored

The account, photos, and job records are stored for Kinreel in a database used only by this app. Finished videos are on Alibaba Cloud OSS. A cache of your photos and clips can stay on the phone. We keep the account while you use it.

Children

Kinreel is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

You can refuse photos, notifications, or tracking. Signing out clears the session and the cache on that phone. It does not delete the account. To delete the account, photos, prompts, and videos from our servers, use Delete in the app, or follow Delete your Kinreel account.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and post the new version on this page.
